The five-second rule
When I was little, we had a thing in our house that if you dropped a piece of food on the floor and it was in the floor for less than 5 seconds than you could pick it back up and eat it. Well, most people had that so called rule in their house at the time. But it doesn't work like you think it does, see, there are germs all over the floor, it's not like they move out of the way when a piece of food starts to fall. The second the food hits the ground, it is covered in germs. You can't see the germs, but you can see what was on your kitchen floor moments before.

U angry about the election?
Are you happy about Donald Trump winning the election? Whether you wanted Trump to win or Hillary, the next president is the next president whether you approve of that person or not. Honestly I don't care who they are as a person. I care what they want to do for the country.

Few of Many Fears
I have a fear of failing at anything (especially sports and school) and spiders. Since I have become a christian, I know that God is with me and I should fear NOTHING. Although I have found that extremely hard, I am still trying and will keep trying to have no fear apart from God. I like the verse that says you should fear nothing for the Lord your God is with you. This verse has encouraged me so much in my walk with God. Another motivation is that when I was little, I saw the movie star wars and when Yoda said, "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." As a little kid, I was so scared about falling to the dark side. But no wI know that the "dark side" is life without God. That line from the movie is partially true, not taking care of that fear will lead to health problems.

We get computers?!?!?!
One of the benefits I have been enjoying this year is not having a 20-pound backpack to carry around campus with you because you have this handy-dandy laptop with you that has 99% of your books on it. But if the laptop goes, so does pretty much your entire education for the moment. One thing you can do to prevent this is to back your homework up on a flash drive, that way if your computer goes you can plug the flash drive into another computer and keep doing whatever you where doing, like working on homework.

Story corp
My english, science, and history teachers have gotten together and assigned this "Story Corp" thing at my school. So we have to pick a person that has more experience than we do and ask them some questions. I think that it is going to be interesting to hear how different times were before I was born. I have picked my mom for the Story Corp interview. I do not have any questions at the present time but am hoping to soon.

What's so special about the education of the arts?
I did ballet for 6 years, I loved ballet, it was my passion and pretty much my life. I have discovered that I have a love for art as well, I have always had an interest in art ,but now I know that I really enjoy it. I was homeschooled 5th-7th grade and in that time I had no art I learned of famous people's paintings but I did not do art. The years that I was not homeschooled, I was at a private school that did have an art class that was required and I loved it. Since I have seen both sides of the story, I can honestly say that having the arts in a child's education is a very important key to a child's educational experience.

To lead a selfless life
To lead a selfless life is to lead a life that is focused on God and others rather than yourself. Hence the name 'selfless'. For me, leading a selfless life is to focus on what God has in store for me not what I have planned for myself. I use my mom as a role model all the time because she is so selfless that she gives her life to christ every day and never gets tired of it. She is always giving up her time to spend time with me or take me somewhere or help me with my homework. Society can be what you see it as. Whether you see it as selfless or how should a christian act in society? Well, the bible says that a christian should mirror God and is God selfish? No! God is a loving and selfless God so the christian should strive to be loving and selfless people in society. I know I try for that and I don't always succeed but I know that God will use me for His purpose anyway.

A New Way of Doing Things
In 1938 Carothers working under Walice H. at E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. invents a fabric that will change the world as they know it. They invent Nylon. Nylon is a fabric that is made of microfibers from plastic. The microfibers are woven into a strong, but flexible fabric. Nylon is also uded to make industrial cordage by adding amounts of metal to the microfibers. Nylon will later also be made with fibers of metal to make even stronger fabric and cord. Nylon is also used to make industrial cordage.

New Goals
In the past I have set many goals, some I have finished, others I have not. This time I am determined to finish this goal and become a better Volleyball player. I am hoping to train, Practice, and do my best to get better. In order to become a better Volleyball player, I need to keep my grades up. I am trying to study harder and work to the best of my ability because I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Scripture Take-a-Ways
There were many good messages in chapel, but one caught my attention. You are God's masterpiece and he will never leave you. No matter how far you think you are running from God, he is always one step behind. All you have to do is turn around.
